I like anything from blues and jazz to rock and pop, as long as it has a swinging rhythmic pulse.
I started on the piano at age 5 and took classical piano lessons for the next dozen years.
During this time, I discovered a love for the bass guitar and played in a variety of rock bands for the next 15 years…
…until I was bit by the accordion bug!
Accordion sounds great to me within the context of jazz, swing and gypsy swing. Some accordionists that have inspired me here include Art van Damme, Frank Marocco, Richard Galliano and Marcel Loeffler.
Among my many accordion projects, I’ve worked with the artist Junodori (Germany) and Franckkd (France), and accompanied projects of the Non Lieu Cabaret.
But more than anything, I love creating musical parts in support of original compositions, using my talents with accordion, bass and keyboards.
This involves contributing to the creation of original musical material, and live performances for poetry (James Fontaine in particular) and theater (Alpes de Haute Provence and Bouches du Rhône).
Here are a few images of some of the bands I have played with. Lots of great memories!
